Teachers at Oasis
The quality of the teachers at Oasis is of utmost importance in providing a successful program that will benefit the students. Each of the teachers that come to work at Oasis brings with them an area of expertise that they can offer. The most defining characteristic of our teachers is their desire to build relationships with the students and work one-on-one with them to help them grow in their education and as an individual. They are devoted to the well-being of the students and are a part of their lives both in the classroom, as well at outside of the classroom.
Could this be the place for you? Are you a native speaker of American English? Perhaps your line of work is one that translates into valuable experience toward teaching post-high school students. If you are either a teacher now, have your TESOL certification, or have skills that would make you a quality teacher, this could be an option for you. Please note that all staff positions at Oasis are volunteer and staff members must provide or raise their own funds for all expenses. Teachers may join the staff at any point during the year and, while teachers committed for longer periods of time are needed, it is possible for teachers to come for shorter segments of time (i.e. a 2 month quarter, a 4 month semester).
