- Received the honor of Presidential Scholarship
- Studied with a student-exchange program in Segovia, Spain in 2007 and one in Paris, France in 2009
- Has teaching experience as a Physics lab instructor at Murray State University

- After completing a practicum at Oasis in December 2010, will have completed a Bachelors of Arts in Linguistics with a concentration in Chinese and TESOL certification from Western Washington University
- Has worked 6 months as an International Peer Advisor with the Asia University America Program at Western Washington University
- Has completed over 50 with non-English students including time in classes and tutoring Chinese speaking students one-on-one
- Received a President's Scholarship at Western Washington University
