First Quarter 2010-11
September 5 – Sunday – All School Orientation – all students expected at school at 7:00pm
September 6 – Monday – 1st Quarter classes begin (8 Weeks)
September 22 – Wednesday – Mid-Autumn Festival
October 1 – Friday – National Day – no classes
October 29 – Friday – End of 1st Quarter
November 1-5 – Monday to Friday – Week off between quarters
Second Quarter 2010-11
November 8 – Monday – 2nd Quarter classes begin (8.5 Weeks)
November 25 – Thursday – Thanksgiving
December 24 – Friday – Christmas Eve – No Classes
December 25 – Saturday – Christmas
December 31 – New Year’s Eve – No Classes
January 1 – Saturday – New Year’s Day – Western calendar
January 5 – Wednesday – End of 2nd Quarter
Winter Holiday/Spring Festival 2010-11
January 6 – Thursday – Student’s Winter Holiday begins
January 6-7 – Thursday-Friday – Teacher grading and PLC preparation
January 6-20 – Pingliang Connection – for students it is January 9-17
February 3 – Thursday – Chinese New Year – Year of the Rabbit
February 17 – Thursday – Lantern Festival
February 27 – Sunday – Winter Holiday ends
Third Quarter 2010-11
February 27 – Sunday – All School Orientation – all students expected at school at 7:00pm
February 28 – Monday – 3rd Quarter classes begin (9 Weeks)
April 24 – Sunday – Easter
April 29 – Friday – End of 3rd Quarter
May 1 – Sunday – May Holiday
May 2-6 – Monday-Friday – Week off for May Holiday
Fourth Quarter 2010-11
May 9 – Monday – 4th Quarter classes begin (8 Weeks)
June 6 – Monday – Dragon Boat Festival
July 1 – Friday – End of 4th Quarter
July 2 – Saturday – Graduation
Summer Program 2011
Required for all students invited into Grade 2 and for all new or repeating Grade 1 students
For Americans – July 4 (Monday) – August 2 (Tuesday)
For Students – July 11 (Monday) – July 29 (Friday) – Summer Program Classes
